I can also remember how overnight they vanished when altezzas came out, and people started laughing at people with clear tails. I guess they really did work, if you had the stance and the car to pull them off on. I like how you observed that back then we were just kids with nothing to do but try new things. The scene has lost that luxury. Now, everything has to be bought out of a package or have the right label to be cool. I sincerely feel like the garage build of the weekend warrior isn't acceptable anymore. Everything has to be polished and perfect to fit into the mold of what is acceptable. I love the old school budget builds with homebrew parts. After all, if it wasn't for the DIY guys back in the day, the parts we swear by would have never existed.
