You can go to a car meet in any part of the country today and find a new trend in imports.  Its hard to spot, actually, because the cars five years ago and the cars today look exactly the same.  The difference?  The transition of the scene from quality parts to knockoffs.  Everything JDM has become “EbayDM”.

This day and age, every single modification you can purchase for your car can be found on Ebay.  You can find knockoff wheels, suspension, seats, intakes, exhausts, turbochargers, manifolds, blow-off valves, steering wheels, lip kits, and more.  It has become so overwhelming that you would be hard pressed to find a car at a meet that didn’t have a knockoff part.

With all these knockoff parts saturating the scene you see less and less money in the pockets of companies who actually do the R&D on their products, that spend the time and effort to innovate, that bring quality parts and new ideas and styles to the scene.  This is why everything today looks exactly the same as it did five years ago, minus the “Made in China” mark on everything.

Not only is it a huge problem, but its a huge problem that nobody even seems to acknowledge.  Its not just the fake parts, its the fake parts mentality.  Its all about money and getting something for cheap – nobody cares that their car looks like everyone elses, they don’t care about the industry, they don’t care about the scene.  They have sold out, and don’t care one way or another as long as they don’t have to work hard for knockoff parts.

Fortunately, the true enthusiasts are still out there.  This site was made for you guys.  Its for the people who still have pride in their cars and wouldn’t rock garbage parts.  Its for people that have been around long enough to appreciate the legitimate companies and what they bring to the scene.  Its for trendsetters that won’t settle for having a car that looks like every other car out there, the guys that don’t want to build a cookie cutter car.
